Fitment/Images/Instructions
Adam· Review provided by LEGO · December 29, 2024
Loved Legos growing up. Went into the Lego store and bought some gifts and a couple sets for the wife and I. She's hooked.
I'm a little disappointed with this set. I understand the Lego/Puzzle concept and it's a great idea however, there are times where you need to throw in a binder piece vs. lining up a bunch of duplex blocks to bolster the piece count.
Quality b4 quantity.
The Suv is rather substantial and there are parts that want to wobble off too easy during the build and you end up with loose fitting pieces from them popping apart while your adding more pieces. Then there's the side "L" shaped pieces that install on top of the front door. 3 or 4 studs long and held on by 1 stud with the rest free floating over smooth tops. There's definitely room for improvement on this model.

The convertible. It was OK. Actually a better kit in that it's not too heavy for its build..Not so big that it needs extra tie plates and the ones it has are more than adequate. I love all the smooth finish pieces that really dress it up.
The only problem I had with it was the front grill. It took me more than an hour to realize that there was a parts change not noted in the instructions. The new design is likely better than what the instructions call for. I had to fiddle around with the parts on hand until I figured out what I think was the intended assembly (used a pair of the gray "wrench" looking pieces. Anyway, I figured out what happened being a parts/assembly process amendment lacking the necessary instructions and images to reflect the change.I tried to upload image and it wont accept it
. Also, the stock photo on the box does not show the finish caps that cover/dress up the studs under the mirrors. I believe the instruction manual shows them being installed.

On both models, the images of the colors pertaining to the parts were deceptive and confusing. dark gray, light gray, black, hard to know what color is being represented. It would be better to have high definition images of the actual part.

Hopefully I have better luck in the future. I'm a school bus driver. I want a expert/creator level selection of the various buses. Thomas Snub-nose, Conventional, International, Bluebird, Sped...Vintage buses. There's a whole bunch of old drivers with a 5 hour lay over between a.m. and p.m. runs. Lego buses for the win..
Really Great Speed Champs Set
xvart· Review provided by LEGO · September 24, 2024
To be honest, I was most excited about the SUV but found the yellow sports car to be a more enjoyable build experience. Both finished builds are fantastic and make for a great addition to the collection. Like the stock car (76935), I'm glad to see different types of cars besides high performance sports/racing cars. The SUV build experience was much more tedious that I anticipated. It's a lot of basic brick laying and not near as much creative build techniques as has come to be expected from the Speed Champs sets. Don't get more wrong, there is some cool stuff going on in there, but not what I expected. The yellow sports car, on the other hand, was just great from start to finish. The build times and piece count are definitely lopsided with the SUV being heavier. They look great and although I don't "play" as much as others, I did give them a fun test drive and was pretty forceful and they held up nicely.
Best car Lego set I’ve ever seen
BigCalls· Review provided by LEGO · July 29, 2024
I’ll be real- this set and this set alone got me back into LEGOs. Was in the store with my kids, saw, bought. Unfortunately, searched for similar awesome cars and house sets they can fit in and couldn’t find any. LEGO- high hopes to keep winners like this one coming!

Finally, a car Lego set that fits a normal luxury lifestyle - without ridiculous strips or race track vibes. A set that can fit a family of figures, with both male and female drivers (mom and dad?).

LEGO, please make more of these. Some ideas:
- Audi TT & Q8
- BMW i7 & iX
- BMW M8 convertible & X7 M
- Lexus convertible and SUV
- Hummer
- Cadillac Escalade
- Bentley Convertible & SUV
- Maserati electric convertible
- Tesla Cybertruck (haha!)
- Tesla Model X with falcon wing doors

All fun ideas. Use normal colors- no stripes or silly things. Keep it real so it can be used in lego model homes, garages, and towns.

And next idea: Team up with HGTV, like property brothers and fixer upper, to make normal scale modular rooms and garages that combine to make custom houses that these cars can park in.
Best of the Summer Speed Champs
Kapura· Review provided by LEGO · June 8, 2024
I love the speed champions series, and this set continues to set a high bar for the entire theme.

The SL roadster makes a relatively straightforward shape into an interesting build by adding a minifigure-sized back seat and a sticker "engine" that can be revealed under the hood.

The G-Wagen build is very interesting, being one of the larger sets in the theme with unique fender and greenhouse shapes. It includes seating for 4 minifigs, which is great, and there's additional storage behind the seats. The hood can be lifted up here to reveal another sticker "engine," which doesn't add a huge amount but is still a fun detail and allows the model to be just that small amount more complex.

All and all this is a great set at the price point. Great for the fans of the G-Wagen in your life.
